Problem I have with gold tips were I have 18 pierce tours and only like 10 will come close to meeting specs as far as straightness and they are spendy! Some wouldn't even make the platinum specs, good tough arrow other than that.

Oof, over 50% of the dozen and a half being out of spec is a bit disappointing to say the least.

Like .007 on a few and .005 on several others. And some of the ods were here and there too. At $240 a dozen I was not happy! My procomps don't even wiggle the needle on the 3 dozen I've had my hands on, well maybe .001 total needle movement on the end of the shafts. The goldtips tours were still poor after the worst was cut off the ends.

Wow, yeah “not happy” is right lol that’s pretty extreme. With a 31” DL I‘ve been tinkering with the idea of a 32” arrow build. Inconsistencies that big aren’t exactly ideal when I won’t be cutting anything off. Any recommendations?

Ugh I try to stay usa, but I keep coming back to these. These are my practice arrows. Non lighted nock, factory fletched, easton 75gr insert, w/ 125gr head. 250 spine 529grs @ 31.25", 278fps,15% foc & 90 ft lbs kinetic for $9 ea.

Easton axis longrange match, easton axis match, easton procomp, blackeagle, rip tko... what's your specs on draw, bow, draw lenght, desired speed, purpose of use.... for sure get .001 arrows
Cranked down 60lb Bowtech RevoltX set on “comfort” at 31” DL. Desired speed I think I’d like to land somewhere around ~250fps, maybe a touch higher. Currently shooting a 31” 440 grain GT Hunter XT 300. I’m seeing somewhere around 285fps according to my tapes. I know this isn’t a dead set way to get a set number for speed, but running it through a couple different programs, it doesn’t seem to be far off from that. I do have half a dozen 30” Hunter Pro 300s to play with as well, but haven’t tinkered with them much yet.

Stepping up to a 32” arrow, it looks like GT recommends that I would then go to a 250 spine, which I’d agree with as I’d also like to up my point weight to 125 grains (currently 100 grains) and also swap out for a heavier insert (thinking 50 grains). Ideally I think I’d be looking at around 540-550 grains total depending on the arrow. I’d rather have a harder hitting, quieter, slightly slower arrow than a speed set up. Really just backyard/range shooting, and Whitetail hunting on the East Coast mainly from a stand, nothing crazy here. Not brand loyal at all, always open to suggestion from experience!

First of all why the 32" arrow? I shoot 30" of draw and shoot a 28.5 to 29.5" arrow (carbon to carbon) the 29.5" shaft sits about a half inch in front of the riser and I comfortably shoot qad exodus. So 31" would be way good. So, this would be a great setup, axis 300 match with 100 grain point, 50 grains of brass hit and 25 grains of ironwill footer.

Honestly I just kind of figured “why not?” and give it a shot. Try something a little different maybe, being that it wouldn’t look too goofy off the front of my riser. That build does look pretty darn good on paper, I’ll check it out. Thanks man!

Another thing why would you want your bow in the 250's? If you are tree stand or ground blinding it no big deal but if going anything much beyond 40 yards, look out arrow trajectory is going to suffer. A 450 to 500 grain arrow is more what I would personally shoot for with your specs. You at 31" and 60# is virtually the same as someone shooting the same how on performance at 28" and 70#. An arrow speed of 270 to 280 is a great place to be in my mind. Reasonable trajectory, very forgiving for broadhead tuning and still loaded up enough for a quiet shot. For a longer arrow built (31" shaft), a shaft as long as you draw is is plenty long, would look here, victory rip tko elite (south shore archery has them) in 300 spine full lenght and square both ends, 100 grain tip, 50 grains of brass hit and 10 grain ironwill footer. At your draw length the hit inserts make sure everything is running true. And its a bomb proof system! I have heard decent reports on their shok tl inserts but the hits are dirty tough. It's going to be a spendy arrow but the shafts themselves are wicked durable and when coupled with hits and a footer they will last a long time. If you do run the victory inserts it will effectively grain you an inch on shaft length and thus stiffening you a bit and perfaps a 125 head will tune up well. And at your draw lenght forget about foc!

Just build an arrow that is as durable as you can and try and put as much weight up front as your spine and tune will allow. I like the victory build better overall on paper, good speed, and should be very duable.

Haven’t looked at Sirius at all, I’ll check that out too, as well as the TKOs. I’m always happy to get some experience generated opinions, especially those that aren’t brand locked. And yeah, sorry for hijacking OP. I think I got all the info I need lol. Thanks again Breaks.
