I use them but haven't killed a deer yet. I just bought my xbow this year, you can get them on the big auction site pretty cheap.

 

The only lighted nock Ravin crossbow use........it is their nock. They are not cheap. But at the end it is not the price but buying lighted nocks that I would not see anyway.

 

Use Ravin lighted arrows (uses Lumenoks). They are the same weight as your practice arrow. If you add a nock to Ravin non-lighted arrow, it will change the weight.

 

I put Firenock on my sons R10. Zero issues.

Were you able to see where your arrow went. If I am not able to see the arrow goes Luminock or not why I would pay for them.

 

Yes you can see exactly where your arrow goes however I will say the darker it is the better you can see it obviously.

I use nocturnals mostly because they make it easier to find the arrow after the shot.

 

What I would like to see, it is seeing the nock goes trough the scope on camera witch is, I think, impossible. I do not hunt with a camera. So If I am not able to see the the luminock when I shut there is one raison to buy them......recovery.

 

My son says he can see the lighted nocks unless he has his reticle illuminated.

Lighted nocks help ya see where ya hit, as well as show ya where the deer was when you took the shot if hunting out of a stand. Makes finding first blood much easier.:wink:

Any opinions on the TenPoint OmniBright arrows that include lighted nocks?

 

I'm usually not a big fan of cheap nock-offs (no pun intended); however, I found some really good ones on Ebay that were way cheaper and work great. They were super bright and fly just as straight as the name brand competitors. I will try to find the link to the ones I bought and post them.

 

I've been able to watch arrow all the way to target,even in daylight. Plus have not lost arrow using them. I have R9

 

If your shot is at 15 yards you will not see the bolt going. If you take longer shots then yes you will see the bolt going out. I use them on both my crossbow and my vertical bow.

 

I do not mean to be controversial but personally I have completely stopped using them. In my experience the deer can (sometimes?) see them coming and have more time to react especially with the longer shots. I know that folks are going to disagree with me but I believe my own eyes and own experiences.
