I realize this may not be the best place for this post but I couldn't decide which
other location was better so here it is:

My favorite old leather target quiver is probably about 35 years old and in
pretty good shape. It does however need to be treated with something or it
will eventually dry out. Any suggestions on what to treat a leather quiver with
to prevent it from drying out but not making it greasy?

On all of my leather stuff (archery or otherwise) I use a very small amount of tung oil. It'll put a nice sheen on it and also protect the leather pretty well. You can also go to a leather supply store, if there's one near you, and they should have a wash that is mostly used to set a hide when doing tooling work that can also be good for your purposes.

Read up on Lexol Leather Conditioner and the methods that folks use to restore and protect with it. I mention Lexol because it is one of the most positively mentioned leather conditioners I've observed, and I have also used it with good results.

A quick google search will take you to multiple leather-working sites and you will see ample discussion of Lexol's usage (and many other products, as well) that will help you decide what may be the best route to go.

Study up before performing any treatment, especially on older leather. I winged it with too much neatsfoot oil on a quiver and ended up fighting and scrubbing the mold (several times over several months) that resulted from my enthusiastic misuse of the product.

Good luck.
