I just purchased an used Martin Scepter II and I was wondering if the fury cams are adjustable? Also those shoot through cams and strings are AWESOME!! Where was I in the mid 90's when these were out? I am so disgruntled with cam lean on my other bows. Also if non-adjustable - can I still get modules or new cams for a 28" draw? Thanks, Jim

You sir, have one of the best target bows ever made, especially with the X-cams.

If memory serves me correctly (I've owned probably 6 of them through the years...), you need a #00X cam for 28". You need 44" cables and a 56" string. The ones that are on it now can be used with the smaller cams.

Problem is...Martin doesn't make the Fury-X cams anymore, so your best bet is to try to find a set either on eBay or here on AT. Or, you could always try to find a set of Furious cams with either Small or Medium modules.

Like Juice said you should need the 00 Size because it should have the 0 size on it now. Just check it when you get it in, and it uses the same string and cable specs for any size fury cam setup on the bow.

Just have to keep searching ebay or AT for fury X cams because Martin probably does not have anymore onhand, you can always give them a call and ask? In addition the Furious Cams will work too just like juice said, this is a newer version of the fury cam that has a module on the back side to adjust draw range.

And it was a great shooting bow, shot my first 600 with a Scepter II

The Fury-X cams were incredible. You could literally time and tune those things in a matter of minutes without a bow press. On top of that, they were so forgiving that you could essentially shoot them anywhere in the valley and your point of impact wouldn't change. Martin's discontinuation of that cam was an archery travesty. If you could find a set of 00X cams, you'd be in awesome shape. Personally, I thought the newer Furious cams were incredible, but the Furious-X cams were junk, as the axle actually had to go THROUGH the X-module. The bushing in those X-mods were so tight that I had to pound an axle through them with a hammer on numerous occasions. With a fit that tight, the cams don't even SPIN on the axles...

If you really can't find a set of the 00X cams, I personally think you'd be better off finding a set of Furious cams with Medium modules and just splitting a set of cables to make it a shoot-through, but without messing around with the X-mods.
