I have never shot any of these three Mathews bow, but have an opportunity to buy a Z7 new in box. I was wondering what the difference is between the Z7 and Z7 Extreme in terms of draw cycle smoothness, are cams the same, how is the valley draw feel, and do either one have a dead end back stop like the Elite bows? How do these Z Series compare to the DXT? Any information is appreciated since I don't want to lose this opportunity to buy a new Z7. Is it easy to tune a Z7 and how accurate is it?

The only one of those that I have shot was the dxt. It was one of the quietest bows I have shot for sure. I do know that the Z7 and the Z7 extreme were very big sellers for mathews and are a lot of peoples favorite bows. The Z7s have a huge following and theres plenty that would take one over mathews newer solocams like the helim and the creeds. If you can get a new Z7 in the box for a good price it would prob be a good idea to get it.

Yes, I was looking at the Mathews specs between the Z7 and Z7 Extreme and did not like the shorter ATA on the Z7 Extreme. I like at least a 30"-32" ATA on a bow to balance it out better. How quiet is the Z7 compare to the DXT or Z7 Extreme? Is the cam the same on the Z7 and Z7 Extreme? The guy selling the new Z7 is asking $775 for the bow. If I talk him to go down to $700, will that be a good deal to buy?

Don't get my blood pumping to get another new bow before the year ends. I just don't want to lose the opportunity which does not come by much especially if its a new older Mathews bow like this Z7. I will hopefully get pictures tonight from seller and might meet him to check it out first.

The cams on the Z7 and the Z7 Extreme are NOT interchangeable. If it is Brand New with factory warranty, then I would jump on it. I have had both the Z7 and the Z7 Extreme and thought they were great shooting bows. I recently had a chance to trade my Z7 for a Z7 Extreme and jumped on it. Love the short ATA for ground blind hunting. If I could find another Z7 I would but it outright to have a solid back up to my Extreme.

No experience with the Z7 or DXT but when I shoot my Z7x from a ground blind I really appreciate the shorter ATA. Mine is a 27.5 draw length and it is pretty damn quiet compared to others when we are shooting together. Accuracy is superb when I do my part. If it is new I doubt you would have trouble moving it on if you do not like it as both the z7 and z7x remain pretty popular Mathews products.

I can't find a better hunting bow then my z7x. It's the quietest, most dead In Hand and most forgiving bow I've ever shot. Could be faster but all the others I stated make this bow hard beat. I personally think it's better then the DXT. Close to the z7 but for hunting the specs just can't be beat.
