I am considering getting another camera arm for the Treestand, and I know there are several options that are extremely small, almost micro in size. Just trying to see if anybody has used any of these I listed OR other newer small camera arm models out there.

Hunt3D - the carbon camera arm

custom gear modifications - reach around camera arm

G3D - sub one camera arm

These are the smallest that I have found. If there is another sub 1 pound arms out there, I’d be interested in seeing it. Just wondering how they function, if they support a phone or a bigger camera, and how easy they are to pack in, set up, and take down.

leaning towards the CGM reach around camera arm.

I started the same thread on Saddlehunter dot com and I only got these 2 responces. I figured to get more information. Maybe bringing this thread back to the top might get some more action.

I havent used the CGM but looked it over pretty close at the mobile hunter expo back in the summer. If I was going to film with my phone, it is perfect. Very small, very light, easy to install. @always89y may chime in with what weight of camera it would hold but I wouldnt try to film with a regular video recorder or a dslr on it. It might work, but that is not what his arm is built for as I understand it.

With the 3 sections it comes with, it will hold 2 lbs. Remove one and it's 5lbsbut reach limited. It is probably to small for a dlsr or heavier camera

Following this post closely as I'm in the same debate between these arms as I'm looking to get into self filming.
