Molle Backpack Straps: Attaching without standard straps and buckles?

Does anyone attach their molle backpack straps to their stand with something other than the regular straps/buckles that come sewn on? I'm asking in particular about to the Lone Wolf.

I'm thinking about trying a variety of carabiners/d-loops/rings, and or paracord to attach the backpack straps to the platform. Then, if it works, I'd cut the standard attaching straps off.

Anyone?

I ordered some heavy duty plastic D-rings that are somewhat similar to Grimlocks. They have webbing slots on them go hopefully clip right into the straps and then right on to the stand. If these don't work I may try paracord next.

I do not like standing on straps or strap buckles so I use the molle frame or an alice frame.....straps attach to frame and frame attaches to platform with hose clamps. The frame also make packing in/out more comfortable and ventilates your back so it does not get so sweaty. But there is really no right way to do this....you need to find what works best for you by trial and error.

Lots of folks on here post about how well something is/works but the reality is that they do not really use that thing very much at all. I would experiment and find the way that YOU like to do it but don't cut the straps off just cable tie them together out of the way until you are very sure that you will not ever need to use them.

I like that idea but really do now want to add more weight. I got this stand to use in addition to my summit so I can take 2-3 mile hikes with it. I know the alice frame has it's own benefits that would probably help out in such hikes but I'd like to try without something like that first.
