I will say this - I think Black Gold is going to lose a lot of business if they keep this current business model. Or at least they are going to lose all the folks who shoot Hoyt or Mathews.
Currently they will not offer any sight with a Picatinny mount. You have to buy the sight at cost and then buy the Picatinny mount as an added accessory for $100 +.
Their bar does not fit the new Mathews riser direct mount.
Seems they try too hard to make things that specific to them or have a serious upcharge. I like their sights, but I am not paying hundreds extra for what they offer.

IMHO the pic mount is not that good system. They have supposedly modified their new dovetails to fit in the mathews riser which is a far better system IMHO than the hoyt system. You can still mount any BG sight to a hoyt using the traditional method. The ONLY benefit of mounting the sight to the front or in the riser on the mathews is to get a quiver much closer to the riser. And in that case you need to have an integrate rest attached so the arrows can sit closer to the riser. The pic mount is not nearly as consistent as a regular dovetail is and you have virtually zero adjustment forward or back to get your peep and housing aligned properly. The amount of money and customers they are losing is negligible when most decent sight companies can't keep up with demand right now as it is. If anything, making a pic mount for some of these companies that don't currently offer it would actually cost the company money as the R&D and manufacturing costs and the time it takes away from their current backordered lineup would actually cost them more than just not doing it. So I don't blame most of the companies one bit for charging a large price tag or not doing it at all...

To each their own, but there are several adjustments on the Landslyde Pic mount, both vertical and horizontal and several options for housing size.
The Pic mount does more than just allow a tight fit quiver, it also reduces offside weight and helps with balance and reduces need the need for longer or heavier side bars.
As far as customer loss. I for one will never go back to them after their response to my inquiries regarding a pic mount.

What was the response, if any?

This bring me to a question which site is going to be tougher the Landslide or the MBG sight which one will handle the rigors of hunting better. For several years now I have used MBG sights exclusively. But really not knowing much about the Land slide has me a tad bit stand offish to say the least. I do like the fact you can use a different type of scope on them

I’ve never shot an axcel so I can’t speak for them. I’m currently shooting a 12 year old MBG that’s on its 3rd bow and can say they back their product like none other. Strip a screw... another one is in the mail. Loose a piece... we will send you another free of charge.
They have stood up to everything I have put them through and when they don’t (usually me trying to torque screws into aluminum too much) they always back their product. Can’t say enough for the rigidity of their sights and their customer service.

Well I that is the case they need to work on the their customer service, I was told by Joe Troyer that If I wanted a Pic mount for the Dual Trac Sight, I would have to Pay $482 for it which is $365 for the sight and another $120 for the Pic mount. So yes you can get the pic mount, but it is gonna cost you an extra $100+.
I also reached out to S and S about it and they said the same thing. Currently no sight from BG comes with a Pic Mount Option, it would have to be purchased separately

It’a a vertical two pin that is adjustable. Always only had the option of three plus horizontal or a single vertical. It gives you a hybrid with the ability to set the second pin to the yardage of your choosing. It’s also on the pro platform with micro adjust everything and pro pins.

I picked up a semi custom BG sight from S&S archery and absolutely love it. It's their S&S backcountry pro hunter. I got the five pin version, top three pins are .19 and bottom 2 are .10. Its great for long distance shooting. I have it mounted to my Mathews V3. Before this was a spot Hogg fast Eddie xl. It's all preference, but I will say BG pins are definitely brighter and it weighs less.
