I have been wanting a Super Diablo for some time and missed out a getting one here and there. I was doing some searching on the web when way down at the bottom of the list of websites I got a hit on a Damon Howatt. So I went to the website and found a long list of traditional bows, recurves and longbows, one piece and take downs, left hand and right hand with a picture or two of each bow. There she was, a ZEBRAWOOD Damon Howatt Super Diablo - 60" and 60 pounds. Picture looked very clean - almost like new. So I called them up and the young man who answered said he would go get the bow and look it over for me. A couple minutes later he says like a lot of their bows this one is on consignment from a Monastery. A Monastery I asked, and he said yes a Monastery where they use bow shooting as a means of relaxation and clearing the mind - exercise for the mind as well as the soul.... I asked if it was as good as the pictures looked and he said the bow was clean all throughout. I bought the bow and an extra string. He shipped it in Colorado last Thursday evening and at Noon on Saturday the bow was delivered to me in Raleigh, NC. Just over 2 days total - Must be a USPS record I think!!

Well the bow is a clean as he said - nearly new and not hardly a mark anywhere. The Zebrawood riser and limbs are gorgeous - and she shoots incredibly - a smooth but strong draw and those arrows just streak to the target. I would say this Super Diablo is even faster than my Hoyt Buffalo.

I am still drooling over some other bows I saw on their list - if you want to look them over here is the link . . . https://www.rmsgear.com/bowshop_inventory.htm

I know the feeling... A guy right here in Durham NC just 25 miles away posted one for sale last year here on AT. I sent him one question and before he could answer back someone else said "I'll Take It!!. It happened again back in November when a friend of mine posted a gorgeous 50# DH Hunter for sale and knowing I wanted a DH Super Diablo he did not ask me first so again before I saw the post someone else said, "I'll Take It!!". This time I got lucky and thanks to the Monastery that owned the bow she was in perfect condition and very nicely maintained. Keep looking - they are out there and you never know when someone will decide to THIN THE HERD . . . . . . . . but you can not hesitate!!

I've got a 55# Hunter that I really love. I just wish it had clear rather than black limbs. I'd rather see wood.

I've never shot it through a chrono but it sure looks like those arrows are moving fast and it sounds like it when they hit the target. These bows are kind of expensive to buy new these days but I bought mine a very long time ago and I didn't spend much.

I've been punching paper with a lighter bow but as long as I can handle the 55 pound that Hunter will probably be my go-to bow for a very long time.
