New Anchor Point ?

My first bow was a 29" draw length. I decided to sell it about a month ago and started looking for a new one.

After advice from a friend and having the dealer measure my draw length, we concluded that it is almost 30". So I decided to go with a 29.5" draw length.

My problem is I cannot anchor in the same spot under my jaw like I did before, and I just can't force myself to straighted out my arm anymore from habit. I thought about switching to a Thumb style release.

Should I switch my release, or should I start forcing myself to straighten my arm out more?

Help please!!

if you really want to try the longer dl then try drawing your bow differently
for instance
fully extend your bow hand before you draw the bow then get your anchor
it shouldnt be too hard
especially if you draw the bow across your body
then you should be able to get right to your anchor immediately and slightly bend your arm with out forceing your self to straighten it
if you still have to force yourself
then get the different cam
thats all there is to it
