Good questions...it's been discussed before on here. A few different opinions..I personally uncock or shoot after each time out.In morning and evening hunt. Takes stress off limbs and safer for all.

If your huinting the whole day with out leaving keep it cocked , no problem, if you leave and come back i would uncock it, another words, no more than a day of hunting. Happy Trails

 

Follow proper break in period and it is safe to leave cocked for extended periods of time. I personally shoot to uncock after each sit. Takes about 5 sec to cock and relieves the stress on the limbs when you can let them relax in between periods of inactivity
