I've recently discovered the Korean Tong-Ah or Turkish Novek, which is their overdraw device for shooting crossbow bolts/ really short arrows. I'm debating on making my own out of wood. Anyone have any experiences with these types of devices?

This guy looks like he is selling PVC bows. You see some of these innovations by PVC bow makers because they are easy to make (once you are good at it) and cheap, which makes them perfect for experimentation.
