Paige Pearce left Black Eagle and is shooting Easton Arrows now.

Tried to see the instancegram but couldn't get it to work. Good for her as BE doesn't have any thing close to Easton arrows!

I am sure it’s like anything else, following the most money and security. That’s not a bash either. I’d do the same in that situation. I just don’t honestly see where there is much improvement. .001 straightness is .001 straightness. Regardless of manufacturer. For the average consumer, shoot what’s in your budget that you like. I like Easton, a lot. I also like Victory, Altra, and Black Eagle.

She just followed me. It only took her 20 years, but she followed me.

Do you think it is coincidence that she just happened to switch to Easton the same day I shot my first X10s... Now if she would only take the leap and blind arch she would be super cool.

Maybe, but her Fiance is a Bowtech area sales representative.

Not that that matters he was a Hoyt Pro-staffer in the past so a job change for him wouldn't be hard either.

May have been about money, may have been a lateral move for other reasons. Either way I think it’s a good fit and good for both parties. BE is a good company, but lookup Olympic individual medals won and which arrows they won with. You’re going to find the list really really small. It’s one name: Easton. No one else can even come close to claiming dominance. I just bring that up as many are quick to write off Easton, which is odd to me. 99.9% of archers will never be good enough to know the difference, but the few elite… it matters. I was in Paris for the olympics, and got to watch the team finals. Archers who can perform under that pressure are very very rare, despite what AT may argue.

The problem with things like this is it virtually impossible to test. Even with a shooting machine way too many variables to address. It would be more a test of how well you can tune and how well you build arrows more than anything else. Thr reality I'd, if you think you shoot better with one arrow, you will. Now not alot, but you will see an improvement. Shooting( anything really) at the highest levels is more about the shooter than the gear.

I’ve yet to try another arrow where the 1/4” difference of point shank inside the shaft between tungsten and stainless points will change how groups react and the arrows tune…. At that point in the process every little thing is coming into play and the options you have with x10’s are pretty cool. Plus I have never shot an arrow that groups as well as they do; ever.

I’ve shot 700’s with a whole bunch of things and the only reason I haven’t been running protours is it’s hard to justify for 1 shoot a year where the field doesn’t dictate that level of competition…. Parallel pro’s shoot well, x10’s shoot better.

If I’m not mistaken Paige used to shoot easton back in her USAT days… but that’s been long enough ago I could easily be wrong

She did, someone posted a video and she explained how she had trouble breaking down the spine on the larger diameter Aluminum shafts.

And in her video announcing it and her Instagram stories she goes over at as well.

She mentions she hasn't even really setup an arrow yet, but she found some 23s that worked well enough and she used some of Tates old 27s that worked well enough and that she was going to go through all her tuning steps when she gets back.

In terms of bias I can see that, but it doesn’t hold for me when you consider how much nations want to win. I don’t think S Korea cares one bit about sponsorships, it’s just winning for national pride and dominance. Many others are the same. We often look at these things through American eyes, and it’s not surprising the world isn’t the USA. Unless someone is going to go ask an archers around the globe we will never know. Same with Paige, unless you know all the details and relationships it’s all talking head guessing.

Its kind of interesting. Paige is one of the few pro archers I follow.

I get why it doesn't matter to a lot of people, I'm not switching to Easton because she shoots it, I wouldn't mind shooting easton if their 5mm arrows had modern gpi.
