Which stomach is on the R side? There is nothing between the top pf the liver and the diaphragm. The stomach extends down the diaphragm on the deer's right side. The liver lies against the daphragm on the left and across the centerline vertically. Run an arrow down the centerline horizontally to run it through the heart and exit just behind the sternum and you wll get liver and no stomach unless the deer is bloated, An empty stomach will make stomach contact even less likely.
The rumen. When it's full.Which stomach is on the R side?
Use paint and draw us a circle around the heart in your picture please.Stomach touches the diaphragm. How interesting...
Look at the location of this heart:

And the diaphragm muscle is how thick?
Huh.

Those vitals are off on the hog. The heart sits higher in the chest cavity. I know this thread is about vital location in deer but i wanted to clear that up.............................
If you really believe that the heart almost touches the stomach, go out and actually shoot a deer and gut it yourself.
I don't GAF if god himself says the heart almost touches the stomach. Until someone actually starts building deer different than they are now, the heart will be where it is on every deer I have gutted in my lifetime, about 6-9 inches ahead of the diaphragm, depending on the size of the deer. Contrary to what you believe, the only time the heart touches the stomach in the deer shoot is in the gut pile. I have had rifle shot deer where I've blown up the lungs and the heart (or what's left of it) is loose in the chest. I suppose that the heart could almost touch the stomach then, but for the liver which tends to get in the way and diaphragm.
It's not that hard to find out where the parts are inside a deer. All you have to do is shoot one and open it up yourself.
I thought the hog diagram was pretty good. Those vitals are off on the hog. The heart sits higher in the chest cavity. I know this thread is about vital location in deer but i wanted to clear that up.

The PUMP STATIONI thought the hog diagram was pretty good.
What organ do you think I hit on this sow?

I was 15 feet above her, 21 yards away, and she was quartering away. She is about 100 pounds and the arrow exited the "armpit" of the off side leg.

We got a winner!!The PUMP STATION
It's about anatomy. It also shows the alive size & shape of the lungs for those that believe falsely in "the void".I'm not sure what blowing the lungs up with an air compressor has to do with shot placement on a deer.
I'm just not convinced that is the alive size & shape of the lungs. I think the video is misleading. JMOIt's about anatomy. It also shows the alive size & shape of the lungs for those that believe falsely in "the void".

It might be a little larger than "live" at times during the video, but the take-away is everywhere there are ribs, there is lung tissue, but it is tapered towards the back.I'm just not convinced that is the alive size & shape of the lungs. I think the video is misleading. JMO
