I have been shooting these (125gr full blade) for the past few years and have been very happy with their performance. Anyone have an alternative broad head choice that performs as well, or better than these?

These Doom heads are awesome heads. Super consistent, short spin true, 4 blade, you can have them rotate left or right, and the tolerances on all of Smith Bro's products are top of the line. I'm a huge grim reaper mini mag fan and I don't see myself every shooting anything else, but if I was to try another fixed head again, the Doom's would be one of my top choices.

Grim reaper micro hades might be worth a look. I've heard nothing but great things about it.

Magnus black hornet is also a great broadhead.

in addition, if you're looking at non-fixed, the beast broadhead is getting excellent reviews

Another vote for Grim reaper micro hades. 3 antelope and a deer so far with them. Great blood trails .

I shot the Exodus swept blade for a long time, I've since moved over to Sevr Mechanicals, and back to Magnus Stingers. That being said I don't know if there's a real upgrade to the Exodus performance wise. Cost wise you're definitely going to pay more for most 125 grain fixed heads.

I used Tooth of the Arrows for late season doe last year and I may use them for early season this year. I really liked them, I just question the durability and they're also a pain to sharpen with out the special jig compared to all my other broadheads.

I know I'm in the minority when I say this, but a Ramcat is the best fixed blade head I've ever used/shot. I know a lot of people don't like things about them, and never even give them a chance on an animal. I have at least 50 kills with Ramcats over the last 8-10 years and have yet to find a better wound channel than the 1.5" 3 blade 125gr head. And it flies like a dart.

I know it performs awful if you shoot it through a piece of steel or some other non-animal like medium, but I don't care about those tests. It flat out performs in the field. Just my $.02.

Same here. It cuts a mighty big hole. I’m going back to Iowa this year and I’m debating on this being in my quiver. May have a Ramcat and an Exodus

imo, exodus is top of the heap for replaceable fixed blade heads. i started there, and have also branched into mech heads with the deadmeat (prefer v1 to v2) and rage trypans (prefer the original with collar to the NC). there are some things about the ramcat that are intriguing, i might give them a try in the future.

I have posted this several times and I'm sure some are tired of reading it but you would be hard pressed to find a better fixed blade broadhead then a Magnus ser razor.

Now with their 150 grain steel ferral version in my mind it's simply perfect.

Exodus, slick trick, grim reaper. Picked up some slick trick single bevels the other day. Very, very sharp heads. I think any of them will kill deer, i like to go with accuracy and cut diameter. I want the most accurate head with the biggest cut, to make up for my error. I will let you know how the slick trick SB fly.

I like swept back blades like the Thunderheads and Magnus Stingers , Exodus are to sharp of an angle for my taste.
Yes I have some Exodus, just never used them, I do have one if a coyote or other critter comes by

Why?

In my opinion there is nothing better than the Exodus.

If you haven't tried any of the Magnus offerings then I would highly recommend you try them.
Sharp/fly great out of the package
Lifetime warranty (should you ever need it)
Small, USA company

I've shot 50+ whitetails over the last decade with them; my wife also uses them out of a 40# bow and we have zero complaints!

Not exactly what you asked for, but VPA's newest Omega with bleeders look pretty amazing. John Lusk's recent testing was one of the best I've ever seen. I haven't bought any yet, but their extreme toughness, sharpness and simplicity to resharpen, without even needing a jig, might make me break my "no new broadheads" rule. (I have a stockpile of enough excellent fixed 125 and 150 grain broadheads to subsistence hunt for the rest of my life already). I've still never tried Exodus, but I've never read a negative review by anyone who can tune a bow and knows where to send an arrow.

I've had my best results with the Wasp Drone. It's been good luck for me over the years. Not saying it's better than the Exodus but it's definitely more forgiving than the full blade Exodus and should penetrate better. The Exodus is more durable but I've never had a Wasp Drone break or fail.

I've never shot a deer with the Exodus but I have 9 of them and have shot them a lot. I've had one in my quiver the last 3 years but never see anything to shoot when I have one nocked. I always have 5 different broadheads in my quiver and just rotate every hunt. I had great results with a Muzzy Trocar last year also. I shot 2 bucks on the same evening hunt, 1st one with the Trocar and 2nd one with the Drone. Both heads performed flawlessly.
