Hi all,

Made a thread a couple weeks ago and invested in the stratus set of pants and jacket. Also added the status had and incinerator muff.
Everything arrived yesterday. Everything is all packaged yet. I read the instructions online so I know about washing and hang drying and detergent and all that but this is my question. Right out of the box what is the best route? Wash right away? Hang outside? Straight to the scent proof bin? Another option? Not really sure what is right.

Also, only thing left I need to purchase is gloves. Not sure if I see a pair that is right for bow hunting. The stratus seems to bulky to wear a release with. They have the traverse gloves but not in optifade II. Any suggestions for good mid season light gloves?

I wash all of my Sitka stuff in Sportsman's Wash and throw it in the dryer, then throw it in a plastic tub. I've done it that way for the 5+ years that I have been running Sitka products and have never had an issue with it. I wash/dry it once before seasons start, then only again if I get blood on it from dealing with a downed deer.

ok thanks for the responses. Looks like I will wash before I put in bin

My next question is this. I need the right glove. I am down to 3.

1. Traverse glove, but it is in the old optifade pattern.
2. fanatic glove with no trigger finger or thumb. Seems perfect for both bow and gun hunting but dont know about warmth.
3. merino equinox glove. full enclosed glove. Have no idea what the texture is like though. Is it like the traverse glove or basically the fanatic glove with the trigger finger and thumb?

thanks
