Which is your preference?? I’ve been considering getting some single piece broadheads and just have no experience with them. Which did you choose and why?

It's really a personal preference. Especially since there are very high quality replacement blade heads now. Iron Will, Day Six, Exodus and even still the Strikers from G5.

I think it depends on how much you hunt or shoot. I like solid fixed heads 3 or 4 blade. 3 blade is where I landed because they are so incredibly easy to sharpen with no special tools. Or get a Stay Sharp 344 for cheap and get them sharper just as easy.

Over the years, I've bought stockpiles of my favorite broadheads, when I've found them on 1/2 price, or sometimes better, deals. They include old USA made Thunderhead 125's, original Muzzy Phantom 125's, Magnus Stinger 4-blade Buzzcut 125's and 150's. If the broadhead is salvageable after a kill, I resharpen/reuse it. Otherwise, I consider it an acceptable loss. I have too many great broadheads now to justify spending more $$$ on super broadheads made today, although I admire them, from a distance.🤣

Gonna be what you feel like tolerating. I've bought both and just settled on 2 blade fixed because I got a good deal with some and I can just resharpen them later. I've shot through 2 deer with them so far and they're fine after digging through the ground on one and into a log on another. But I do have to remember to take that time to resharpen later.

Last year I switched to the VPA V100 heads. I got tired of spending money on blades. I’ve shot ViperTrick, Stingers, Muzzy and ThunderHeads.
I had shot Snuffers in the past, so was familiar with sharpening a 3 blade head. I bought a set of DMT diamond stones and went to work on them. I can get them to cut hair and grab the thumbnail, but not shave.
First trip out was hog in Tennessee. A 20 yard shot, 25 yard recovery. Illinois deer season, 4 deer. Every animal was taken with the same head. Shoot it, sharpen it and hunt again.
The blood trails were not the greatest, but none of the animals went over 35 yards. I watched every one of them fall.
I like the fact that I can assemble a arrow, shoot it, tune it and sharpen the head and hunt with that exact tuned arrow.
I’ve found my forever head. I’m sure I’ll still play around with other ones, because that’s who I am. The VPAs will be what you see in my quiver.
