Hello, everyone...I was wondering, what, if any, is the difference between Samick's B.F. Extreme, and Extreme BF limbs?...Besides the obvious color differences?...I've been told/read that they are the same limb, and I've read otherwise also...There have been a few sets of these Extreme limbs selling at reasonable prices lately, and I do miss my old Samick Masters limbs, so I figured to gather some good info from the informed and helpful folks here on A.T. FITA board...Any first-hand info (shooting qualities, arrow speed, durability, that sort of thing), good, or bad, will be helpful...Thanks in advance!........Jim

I "heard" that they are the same lay up and recurve profile but the target version Samick have foam and wood core where the Trad Tech version has foam and a bakelite "foam" core which is some type of plastic. I may be wrong and if anyone knows please feel free to correct me.

I have the target version which have wood and the brown bakelight in the core. The tradtech version is the same but painted black. The earlier version when they first came out did not have the wood layer. They were made for a very short time. The ones Lancaster has been selling for the last few years all have wood and bakelight as well as carbon fiber layers. This is information from the folks at Lancaster archery supply. I like my target model limbs very much. Mine are a year old and say Extreme BF on them. I will post a picture later.

i had the earlier Extremes about 10 years ago and they were extremely fast limbs but a bit hard to pull thru the clicker at my almost 29" draw length unlike my much more smoother drawing winexes......

note also that their actual weight was also a bit higher than marked....my limbs marked 36# got all the way up to 45# on my 25" pse x-factor with the limb bolts all the way in...

The extremes were the best limb in my opinion. I did not feel the extremes 2.0 shot as accurately. The extreme BF was the last version of the limbs.

When the Masters and Extremes were out, you saw them everywhere on the world stage. They held many records. Once 2.0 and BF came, you hardly saw anyone shooting them internationally. Win Win had come along and were making a better limb. I always assumed that the guys at MK Korea made the masters and extremes and then left, leaving Samick to sub the 2.0 and BF out to other limb manufacturers and the quality suffered. But i could be wrong. I have never asked the MK factory about their timeline of leaving Samick and the last limbs they made before the move.

I do know Extremes were preferred, followed by 2.0 and lastly BF in terms of world stage use.

Chris....I used to own a set of the first Masters limbs, they were pretty special....In Your opinion, which of the MK Korea limbs being made now are similar, or maybe better than the older Masters and Extreme limbs from Samick??...Thanks in advance...:)..........Jim
