Have used both...but two years ago switched to Dead Down Wind and haven't had a reason to switch back...

Have used both......couldn't tell the difference in the two besides the cost...Scent Away works just fine for me.

1/2 c of baking soda and 1 bottle of peroxide in a gallon of water you'll never go back !

Same here.

always used scent away until this year changing to dead down wind and wanted to know what people thought aout that brand....
I don't think you're going to tell much of a difference IMHO.. All this scent killer stuff is basically the same product with a different label.

Tried Dead Down Wind last season

Can't say if it worked better than other similar products but I liked how it was packaged. The small spray bottles fit nicely in a pack and it's easy to mix up more spray with the powder packs. More convenient for a backcountry hunt.

"Eliminate" Humm lets look at this for a minute, the term "Eliminate" is to do away with completely, without leaving a trace or To leave out or omit from consideration; reject.

So if you can find any Spray on the market the will do this, please share with all of us because I dont know of any that 100%. Fact, there is a major player in the industry right now that will test to this term.

I think both have their place in the hunting world and almost all of them probably work well?? But with that being said I would put a cover scent up against a spray any day. because I think they work. Just my two cents.

You didn't read very carefully. I never said it would eliminate all scent. I said to use it to eliminate all that you can and then use a cover scent. You can't tell me that using a cover scent alone is better than using a descenting spray AND cover scent can you?

i used scent killer till last year, switched to buck fever synthetics vanishing hunter, the stuff is crazy good, not too many ppl have heard of it, go google it!!!

I think what I use is scent away, I know it by the looks of the bottle not the name lol it's the fresh earth scent, I wash all my clothes in ddw laundry soap bc it's what the sporting goods store had on sale. I let them air dry outside the. I put them in my duffle bag with the fresh earth scent wafers, I got busted maybe once last year, I also hunt the wind :)

Not completely serious about the cigar. Just meant to enjoy whatever makes your hunt. Have heard said not to hunt a stand because of wind direction. Had many a deer come in 180 degrees of expected. Put your favorite spray on. Don your $350 scent suit. Have a smoke if not doing so makes you miserable. Appreciate the sunrise. Relax. Enjoy.

Make your own.

You just keep telling yourself that, remember not all animals let you know they have busted you. Some especially the more mature ones just slink off quietly.
When i was 12 shot a huge buck from 22 yards away. My dad was sitting right next to me smoking a cigarette telling me a story thinking we had no change of getting something. Deer are curious animals. They are probably attracted to it

DDW is the walmart of the scent killer industry. Was never impressed.. Leave residual odors. Much prefer Code Blue, Scent Killer (Gold) or Scent a way. All much better IMO..

I had 2 batches of dead down wind that smelled like dog food. I use their body wash but the spray sucked for me. Tried scent crusher with copper really liked it. Comes with packet to make a second bottle.

I thought DDW was enzyme base? I also thought I read somewhere it had a shelf life. I don’t really know. I just have used scent away. And evercalm herd stick rubbed above my head in the tree. I found when they get down wind they don’t blow. But they do act cautiously. I just don’t want them to blow.

Ive had does wind me, and blow. Big buck came in looking for the does. Seriously has happened numerous times. Didnt always kill the buck ,but he came to me/does. Rut.
