Try out the pioneer 500 it's a small SxS, no bed, but cheap. I've had mine two years I use it for work doing GPS field mapping for farmers and use for hunting. It has the same engine and transmission as the 500 foreman four wheeler.

Yamahas

Definitely checkout the Yamaha wolverine and Viking, yes they only have 700cc motors, but it's a utility vehicle, how fast do you want to go. I have a Viking with lift and 30" tires and have no problems turning them. And it will run 45-50 mph.

How is the leg room? I had a rhino and at 6'2 my knees were always in the way, plowing in winter with big clothes and boots - forget it I took the seat off and sat on a board just to give me a few more inches of leg room.

I am a Polaris fan but DO NOT BUY THE NEWER RANGERS!!! They are catching fire. They may have recalls. I remember seeing this a few months ago. I am not sure the exact years but I do know they are the newer ones. Just a piece of advice. as an FYI I currently own a 2012 Polaris Sportsman 800(QUAD) and have zero complaints with it so far.

I have heard a ton about Polaris.....never that they are reliable.
No problems here. Been running their sleds and ATVs since 94. All my buds run them as well. Reliable in our circle.

Since I posted above I have another 600 miles on my 800 ranger. Alot of miles this summer with the new property. We went on a huge ride last week. No kidding Polaris utvs were probably 20/1 compared to other brands. Razrs and rangers everywhere!!! And ATVs were probably 4/1...if I had to guess. I'd say that's probably the reason we hear of more issues. Maybe. But we put a bunch of miles on all over North Central mn. I didn't see a single break down besides a plugged carb on a Yamaha yz 80.

We had a conversation around the fire about Arizona...wintering there...how's the riding... etc. I have family that winter's there. They said the same I did above... razrs everywhere! Dominate the percentage.

As my bud just got back from a mule deer hunt. He said the same...Polaris razrs and rangers non stop!

I think this is the norm pretty much everywhere? Yeah...I'd say we hear of more issues when there are that many more compared...

Do not buy Polaris, I've had 2 and they are Junk! I had a pioneer 700-4 and it was nice much better than the Polaris. I gave it up to though, they are just to loud, I've gone back to the 4 wheeler. Now if I was hauling stuff all the time, I would buy another Honda.

I've had an Arctic cat prowler for 5-6 years and haven't had any problems. It's a noisy machine tho. Very impressed with what it can do and where it can go.

Buddy has a Ranger 800 on his farm and it's in the shop all the time. He's going to be buying a Honda 1000. In my opinion Honda can't be beat as far as reliability goes. They are very well engineered. Heck my Honda rancher I bought from my uncle is 13 years old and I think I'm the only one to change the oil in it. And that was last year after I bought it from him. Thing starts up so easy and is built like a tank

I have a Can Am Defender HD8 XT model, only have about 60 miles on it right now but its been great , tons of low end torque, power steering and the ease of engine access makes it a great machine, I have ridden rangers and prowlers and this thing makes those feel like junk compared to the Defender , tons of storage ive read a post on a facebook page of a guy who has a 16 model with over 7k and only had to change a thermostat and heat shield
