Personally I really like the fit of Sitka I can’t see paying retail for it but if you can catch it on sale or are eligible for the pro program then it really isn’t a bad price compared to other camo brands out there. All mine is early season stuff since I live in Louisiana and it doesn’t get that cold often.

I’ve worn some of their stuff and it is very nice but I personally can’t justify the price. If I have extra money to splurge on hunting then 9/10 I am buying something to make me a better killer. Whether that’s arrows/ammo, sight, etc.

No
Is Sitka gear really worth the hype for the coin? I'm fortunate enough to get a hefty discount from them due to my employer so jackets and pants are basically $100+ off. Former coworker swears by it. Told me it'll be the last camo I ever buy. But I want more input, most people I know that hunt don't have Sitka gear (guessing due to the price tag). I started going through my sets of camo I have and want to go with one line, rather than the multiple brands/patterns I currently have.

no doubt worth it in Midwest for warmth but in the south east where I’m at I just don’t use it much. Only negative is the briers and burs will tear it up.

Sitka and Kuiu are good stuff. I own a lot of the whitetail and big game Sitka line and kuius big game line. It’s gear that keeps you alive when the conditions are tough. It’s gear that you can put on and forget about. Tough material, quick drying, great mobility, and there is a piece for dang near every situation. Kuiu seems to be a little better made, Sitka has better sizing and more options. Favorite items in Sitka: timberline pant, dew point rain gear, Kelvin WS down jacket. Kuiu: axis pant, kenia jacket, superdown pro jacket.

All of this is my personal opinion.
I like Sitka better than First Lite and it has held up better than Kuiu.
I pretty much use the stratus pants most the season. Jetstream jacket too. When it gets really cold I switch to Incinerator bibs and First Lite sanctuary jacket.
I also wear the lightweight hoody all the time early season.
The heavyweight half zip is nice.
The traverse jacket is great early season. Full zip and has facemark hoody combo... not windproof and kind of a bulkier compared to jetstream but that combo of traverse under jetstream works well.
My biggest draw is the subalpine pattern. I swear I get picked off more in the elevated until the leaves fall off. I wear leafy bottoms over the stratus pants most the time.
I picked up a used muff for half price a few years ago and that thing gets some serious use.
If you're just diving into Sitka start with windproof pieces like stratus or jetstream.
Have you ever tried the stratus bibs?

Kuiu has been great for me. The tiburon pants are awesome early season pants. The insulation layers like the Kenai Is plenty warm for western states. And the Gila hoodie is an awesome piece for keeping you cool and out of the sun. Their merino wool is also great. The zip off bottoms are a game changer.

I found all my Sitka gear to be extremely comfortable. I figured it made sense to splurge a bit for clothing I’ll be in multiple times a week for 14+ hours sometimes. It has held up well durability wise. I’ve also found the subalpine camo pattern to work really well in the areas I hunt. With this being said Sitka is the only high end hunting clothing I’ve had so I don’t have comparison. There’s head quarters is also in Bozeman MT my home state so I have some allegiance there. I also always waited for a sale to pick anything up. As I just can’t justify the retail prices no matter how good the product is.

You first lite wearers truly make me sick. How can you be so ignorant as to give your hard earned money to an enemy that 1. Is anti hunting 2. Is anti second amendment and 3. Donates hundreds of thousands to the democratic party. Don't try even giving an answer as there isn't one that is valid other than you didn't know. Now you do.
I 100% agree as y’all can see from username😂 and the camo looks like **** mixed with branches

I have a mix of Sitka and Kuiu and Walmart. I use the Wrangler outdoor pants ($27) as my warm weather to early October pants. Held up just as good as any other brand. Base layers are sitka and Kuiu as well as outer layers. Mid layers are anything thats warm and can be layered over. Just my 2 cents

I use KUIU currently. Big fan of a lot of their pieces and the sales are always solid. Sitka's niche gear for waterfowl and whitetail seems to be pretty top notch. Kryptek offers some great pieces for the sales they have as well.

Depends on what your use case is IMO. I think bowhunting whitetails sitka has the best overall gear, especially when needing something both warm and quiet. I think FL excels a little more in the western space. Both are quality. For whitetail I'm really liking the asio gear as well.
