G.O.A.T. = Greatest Of All Time

Well, I am not well versed in the history of archery and do not know most of the old timers. To me the GOAT would be someone who you look up to admire and aspire to perform like! I don't think you could be considered the GOAT if you don't shoot all disiplines (ie: 3-D, FITA, NFAA, etc)

Here are your choices!

MANY of your choices have NOT shot International FITA events...and that is part of your criteria?

Of course a FEW, but very few of the "spotties" listed didn't shoot 3-D either.

So...that leaves my choice easy..>TERRY RAGSDALE,

but tough choice with DEE WILDE missing, and then the legend Dean Pridgen...

DEE WILDE also should be on this list...LONGEVITY, TRACK RECORD, WORLD RECORDS, INTERNATIONAL competition.

Can't see how a 20+ something year old can be a G.O.A.T. when there ins't a track record INTERNATIONALLY, etc. But most today live for today and are so impressionable.

Some of the others are way too YOUNG to get a G.O.A.T. vote and don't have the track record...>YET. Gotta earn those whiskers.

It's my poll Feild so quit critiquing it..........JK!!!!!!

Like I said I'm not well versed in the history of archery but I listed some big names, especially big names in their own disipline!!!

My vote would be for Randy Ulmer, the track record speaks for itself!!!

As for the 20 year olds???? How old is Tiger???????? He's without a doubt the GOAT!!!!

No ArrowMaster!

I'm sure he will be dissapointed that he did not even make the list.

Too many good choices to pick from.

I chose Ulmer because of the variety of venues. NABH, IBO, ASA, NFAA, and Fita championships...not to mention a stellar hunting career.

I think the thing that sets him apart to most is his ability to commmunicate. It makes him more popular, perhaps even more so than his accomplishments.:)

Dean Pridgean

I cant tell you how many archers have told me Dean help them accomplish there goals to be champions. Terry and Michelle both said Dean helped them many times and have plenty of stories about Dean. Griv and DarrinM both said Dean was such a great champion during his period of champion.

I have seen Dean help so many throughout the years.

At age 70 shooting a perfect score of 60X at indoor nationals. Just darn impressive.

Mike Leiter Many many national championships and all the while using the old stuff. (No inclinometers, no computer tapes, no carbon arrows and old bows.) Mike could and still can shoot with the best of them and he is OLD (just kidding Mike) nearing the big 50. And lets not forget a great person. (IMHO) :cheer2:

Dave is awsome and will be for a long time. Braiden should have every record by the time he's 30. But Ulmer has done it all and done it well. Ulmer would get my all around vote.

Dave cousins without a doubt, no one has done more. He's been NAA shooter of the year 6+ times NFAA like 2 times he was ranked number 1 in the world for like 8 years in a row. He has won all the biggies ( Vegas, Indoor worlds, Outdoor worlds, Redding, World field, and the list goes on and on) His only lacking would be 3-D but he still plays the game. He is the most versatile archer out there now and probably will be for the next ten years unless someone really steps up their game. I know oppinions are like a**holes, everyone has one and they all stink but I know you can't disagree with this one.

Carroll Walker

I don't know a lot of people in archery, but one person whom I have always admired and looked up to is Carroll Walker. Anybody that can survive being nearly electricuted, lose an arm, still shoot a bow as good as he does, and live his life as a Christian should be inspiration for anyone.
