Currently in the market for front and back stabs for my new Prime Nexus. What are everyone's favorite set ups and brands? I've been looking at the Conquest Archery Control Freaks and they look like great quality. I'd like to keep the length around 15" front, and 12" back if possible as it's mostly going to be used for hunting, not target shooting. TIA everyone.

I don't watch hunting videos all that much - mostly that my wife watches. I've yet to see the Pro Hunters using outlandishly long stabs and not one of them use a back stab at all that I've seen......

My hunting bows have a common 8" from stab just to be there. Some times for balance, some times to tame what little kick might be there............

You have to run what works for you.... That being said anything under 10" IMO is just mass weight or a dampner. The longer the bar, the less weight on a stab you need to be affective. Plain and simple. I held a buddies BT Mag yesterday with a 12" front 15" back and it felt great! Way lighter than it feels bare bow. Bow is balanced very well and in this case this mass heavy bow would feel much heavier with small 10" and under bars guaranteed.

I don't think most people even know how to use their stabs or set them up and why they set them up this way. If you gain 1% from stabs, for me that is not enough value add for the money and time to set them up. HOWEVER, sometimes things invoke confidence and that is worth any reasonable amount of money for an archer as we all know that is really the ultimate killer, the mental portion.

Just because you think longer stabs are cumbersome doesn't mean someone else will have the same issue. I mean have you seen 400" bull navigate through the mountains with a giant rack? Like a boss, sometimes they look like athletes with all their head movement around things. Same with quivelizer - people killing stuff all the time this way.

Do what works for you and if it makes you better all for it!.

Conquest Smackdown
B Stinger
Spider
Doinker
CBE Torx

All good bars and fairly priced.

Thanks everyone for the input. I guess to clarify, I'm not asking about the length of the stabs. On my primary hunting bow I run a 12" front stab and a 12" back stab, so I'm aware of the trade offs for mobility, and the pros and cons of running longer bars. I was more looking for preference of brands. Sorry if I started a debate lol.

No debate, just clarification. Pros get paid. I've used just a front stab since forever. I've used my hunting bows in 3D and did quite well.

I shoot a front and back bar on my hunting rig for almost 10 years now it does help with stability and balance. I'm using micro hex bee stinger 10 and 8. Stabilizers work great from about any company used doinker cutter bee stinger. I usually got what I like or what I think looks the best to me. Good luck this season if you're a hunter.
