yeah I only use No flash or black flash ..after bad experiences with other cams

it looks like it must have a really bright flash, those night pics are all very over exposed (not that that really matters with deer cams, but might spook them more)

You can turn the flash down to 50%. I noticed the same thing on mine in backyard testing. The 50% flash is much better IMO.

Looks like pictures you delete still count against your monthly quota, just verified that from the company

Only complaint so far is the delay in app notification you receive. Supposed to be a fix out this week they say. Camera will take the pic and you won't receive notification for several minutes after.

Can you use these and change settings without buying a data plan? In other words, just in certain months when you only want to use the app you pay for just those months. I wouldn't want to pay for the plan during the winter when the camera is in my basement or when I don't want to use the app.

After rereading my post I wasn't very clear. Can they be used as a traditional camera saving pictures to an SD card without paying any fees? If I'm not mistaken, the Moultries can, but there is a $5/month maintenance fee just to change the settings even though they aren't sending pics through the app.

Yes, it can be just a regular trail camera. No fees.
