I like bags if I'm shooting 6mm or larger diameter shafts with standard components.

With .204 diameter shafts and collars I'd rather throw my bow in the ocean than try to pull my arrows from a bag target.
I have gangster shanked bag targets more than once to get arrows out… I will say, one of the bear that live by my house hates bag targets even more than I do, at least it hated my 18-1 a little less

I did revive my little Granny Smith tree he busted too, which is lucky for him, I was going to wage war on him spring bear season, but lost interest when I saved the tree… he’s a good one, but something about hunting 100yds from my house is less desirable… he better watch himself though, I have killed for less

A 24x24 morell bag target can be had for 60-80 bucks and will last 1000s of shots, can be reskined and repacked. Well worth the investment!

I have both. Like them both but pulling my .166s outa bags pisses me off sometimes with my arrow config. Come on, bag! Give it back! Bags stop arrows faster, imo. Blocks are quieter to shoot if you're indoors. Ants like them all if you're keeping them outside, especially around here.

If I am using a "Bag" target, I like Bulldog or Bigshot targets. For a "Foam" target, I like the Rinehart ones. Depending on your arrow configuration, as others have mentioned, pulling the arrow from a bag target can be a real pain.

Blocks don’t last very long for me but with the bags I have filled with fiberglass screen last for many years. About every 4-5 years I make new bags and restuff them. I have been using the same stuffing in the five bags I have for 15 years. I’m not sure what they fill bag targets with now.

I really like my Bulldog FP+ blocks. Shooting a 60 lb PSE with 430 gr .166 Victory Elite and field tips. Easy to pull arrows out, and the targets are wearing well also.

Have two Rhinehart 18-1 blocks that are also good. They have each lasted about a little over a year and are now pretty well shot up. Arrows often go most or even all the way through.

Still way less expensive and funner than 9mm or .223!

Morrell YJ-400 Super Duper Bag for main target practice and training. No problems with any bow speed and arrow removal for me as I used standard diameter arrows and inserts.

Sevr 21"HD Foam Target for Broadhead and bare shaft tuning. I take in inside and outside as needed. Never leave it out in the weather. Got a pretty good deal on a blemished one a few months ago. Would not of know If they did not tell me. Looked great from the start. TOTA broadheads chew them up a bit, but there is plenty of room and I don't have to shoot broadheads much more than average tuning.
