The World Association of Sofa-Based Archers (WASBA) is back with its second totally unnecessary — and completely glorious — online tournament:
The @Bisch Challenge Cup
A brutal test of precision, pride, and poor decision-making.
This time, we’re doing things raw:
No stabilizers allowed.
That’s right — it’s just you, your bow, your wobbly pin, and your excuses.
The Format:
Zero. Nada. Free as your time apparently is.
Winner gets:
This is a completely informal league. Participate at your own risk. No liability accepted. No refunds because, again, it’s free.
And maybe @ForaFrank will help us with this thread?

The @Bisch Challenge Cup
A brutal test of precision, pride, and poor decision-making.
This time, we’re doing things raw:
No stabilizers allowed.
That’s right — it’s just you, your bow, your wobbly pin, and your excuses.
The Format:
- Division: Compound shooters any age, any gender.
- Distance: 50m outdoor
- Target: 80cm 6-ring WA target (compound standard)
- Rounds: 36-arrow round, once per week
- Scoring: 10 is 10. No “11 BS” — Xs are tiebreakers only
- “Confirmation Arrow” Rule: One extra arrow per round (not per end...) to replace your worst shot (we all know which one).
- Stabilizers: Leave them in the case. If it balances your bow, you’re disqualified.
- Totally honor system: If you’re shooting 30 meters and swearing it’s 50, at least add wind noise in post.
- No handicap scoring: If your release hand cramps mid-shot or your dog runs off with your arrow, welcome to the big leagues.
- Trash talk is encouraged: Bullying is not only tolerated — it’s encouraged. If you lean woke and can’t handle a few heavy jokes, this may not be the safe space you’re looking for.
- Starts: Week of September 15
- Rounds & Deadlines:
- Round 1: by Sept 21
- Round 2: by Sept 28
- Round 3: by Oct 5
- Round 4: by Oct 12
- Shoot a weekly round, post your scores here and I'll spreadsheet and post weekly results, leaderboard, etc...
Zero. Nada. Free as your time apparently is.
Winner gets:
- A home-printed certificate featuring questionable clipart
- Bragging rights until the next dumb idea
This is a completely informal league. Participate at your own risk. No liability accepted. No refunds because, again, it’s free.
