I’m from Ohio and I do a lot of hunting from stands and ground blinds and I find myself having to regularly make shots in tight spaces. I’ve been looking into the Gearhead T series bows and the T18 looks very intriguing. Plenty of power in a small package. I just wanted to see some of y’all’s opinions on the bow.

I haven't seen a tree that a 40" bow can't be shot out of. The shorter the bow, depending on your draw length the less stable it is to shoot constantly.
My opinion I personally wouldn't own one of their bows. I think they are ugly and look like some kids erector set.

We used to hunt with 60"+ bows out of tree stands BC (Before Compounds). People claiming you need a short bow just make me chuckle.

I have no desire for a short bow, but if anything I'd go with 33 and the 36 would get the nod first.

Well, one of the Pros with a 36 collected a health pay check with a big win - $30,000 I think.

Two I know own them and they shoot great, erector set look and all. Dave's 36 has the 45 acp grip. Missy's is colorful.

I work at a bow shop and I can and have shot or owned Bowtech, Mathews, Obsession, also shot but not owned many Hoyts, that being said I went with a Gearhead Dissruptor 24, 29dl 65lbs. I spent time shooting them at the ATA the last 4 years because they draw butter smooth are quiet and vibe free with super solid limb stops, by far the the most fun shooting bow I have owned. I also would like to add how stable they are at full draw for a short bow, so unless you have spent time shooting one dont put it down, and by the way they are accurate, I have put four different broadheads through it and the all hit where I'm aiming. If you are thinking of getting one go with the 24 or 30 still small enough and you wont be disappointed.

No, No, No. The Gearhead sling shot (bow) looks like this.

The pistols grips just look weird being out in the open.

One thing about the Gearhead bows the same bow can be changed to right or left, even the sling bow pictured.

As for the short bows, look at the Liberty. I called it a pocket when first handled one. Hey, it's killed game down in Africa...

The one thing that’s holding me back from buying a gearhead is that I fear that if I go to my local shop to get it setup, they won’t do it for me. They are a Mathews and Hoyt dealer but are known to work on whatever people bring in, I just worry that since it’s such a different bow that they won’t want anything to do with it.

Like SHPoet said I started with a 66" bow & many deer fell to it with out any problems & now if you aren't using a 18" bow it seems like it is impossible to get it done. Can't stand kids bows under 38"!
