2016 pse brute force thinking of getting custom strings im wanting as much speed and KE as possible do I need them ? Do they make your bow faster ? I currently have them on my stock brute force. As far as strings go

You will need to put them on your new string exactly where they were on your factory strings. Bow is quicker and more quiet with them. I used to experiment by moving them around, adding and subtracting them. All I did was tear up my servings. After a ton of aftermarket strings and hundreds of shots through my chronograph, I just put them where the factory put them. They are smarter than me.

I have seen some explanations on here and not sure that I fully get why, but...

On my bows with custom strings I have them put on... My observed difference in speed has been around 8fps (PSE L6 and Drive cam bows) and that was with the same string first without and then with, added at factory positions. The bows are also quieter as mentioned above. It's really up to you, but I always have them added now.

that arrow weight is very low? too low by common consensus, thats way less than 5gr/pound

I have a brute force 2016 here is the calculation

real world chronos at 270. which is plenty fast

I am a little skeptical of my draw weight scale tbh it reads 58lb but I think its under-reading by about 2lb #(long story)

They always list a range to cover efficiency of limbs at different draw weights.

324 = 50#/250gr arrow
332 - 70#/350fr arrow

OP...if you are at 27"DL, 70#, 350gr arrow and the IBO is 332 you can expect to get 295-299 for actual speed.

As far as speed nocks, they reduce string oscillation which results in less noise, less vibration and more speed.

If you are considering new strings check out JBK Bowstrings he makes an excellent set (the best IMO) at a great price and will put on the speed nocks in the factory locations.

The speed nocks engineers the way each section of the string moves.
The bow manufacturers put them there for good reasons,
a lot of testing goes into the placement and weight to maximize the speed knocks affect.
With them; the string lasts longer, the bow is a lot quieter and up to 10 fps faster.

And yes, you can duplicate the positions from your old string.
But in order for it to work well, the new string need to be the same thickness as the old string,
and the speed nocks on the new string have to weigh the same amount as the ones on the old string.
