All I can report on is the one pair I have owned.

They have been great. I have walked hundreds of miles in mine. Not near as much swampy mess as you have but many, many miles in peanut fields and pecan orchards. Never a leak. The sole did come off of both of them last year but they are probably 7-8 years old. I will be buying them again.
Thanks

the Irish Setter Vaprtrek boots are the most comfortable boot i've ever put on.
I love my Vaprtrek boots as well. If you want waterproof, you'll have to go with one of the rubber snake boots. Every rubber snake boot I've ever tried killed my feet. Another option to consider is your favorite pair of waterproof boots with a light pair of snake leggings. Easy on/easy off, and very versatile.

I have bought several different snake boots like - Danner, Lacrosse venom, Vapertrek, Rocky and they have all leaked water bad ! I have just purchased a pair of Lacrosse 4X ALPHA snake boots and I also bought a pair of Muck Pursuit snake boots ! I will be testing them both out this year ! So far in turkey season the Lacrosse were a little tight on my feet so I sent them back for a size bigger ! The Muck boots fit great but I have to wear high socks to keep the sides from rubbing my legs even with my lt wt pants tucked in ! They might just need broken in though ! I'm waiting on my other pair of Lacrosse boots to get here ! I will be putting miles on both of them as I do allot of scouting old and new areas plus checking cameras !

I got the Danner Vital Snakes this year and they couldn't stand up to the heavy spring rains we had in KS. Feet totally soaked in 15 minutes. Wanting to hear from there warranty as the boots were advertised "waterproof"
