Really good bow. Light weight, accurate and shoot plenty fast enough. Its not a speed bow.

I enjoyed mine while I owned it.

Agree it is a very nice shooting bow. But brand new-------not----- they stopped making them about 3 years ago. If you get one keep it in mind it will be used and no warranty. Also they are cam specific to the half inch draw and to get it to fit you the cam may need to be changed out. If you find one and want one a fare price for a bare bow is going to be around $350 to $400.
Seeing as you have been shooting a relic for many years I would make very sure you have a pro shop set it up properly to you. Things have change many fold from your old bow on how we set them up and fit them to a person.

I have had a few Mathews, loved my Switchback, Conquest II is a good one too.

But I had a Drenalin that for whatever reason, I couldn't shoot worth a darn with it.

Good shooting bow but they have been left behind as far as performance is concerned by modern designs.[/
Left behind is a little overkill statement in my opinion. One of the smoothest drawing bows offered by Mathews, lightweight for a 33" ata bow, real world 315 ibo speed and pretty darn quiet. Makes for a great hunting bow. I would consider a bow such as the Q2 a left behind bow.

One of my favorite Mathews bows, and I have had many! I'm shooting the Reezen 7.0 and the Monster 6 right now, but always keep my eyes open for a can't pass deal on another Drenalin!!

If you can find one at a shop that is brand new, great. There's a shop here that has one that is still on the shelf that a guy ordered and never bought. The Drenalin is a great bow and I loved mine. That being said, if you aren't that concerned about buying a "brand new bow" you could look on the classifieds here and find a more effecient hunting bow. You can always find a like new bow for a great deal and there are oodles of reputable sellers on here. If you are just wanting the Drenalin because you like the feel of that bow, by all means buy it and shoot the heck out of it! Have fun with your new bow and enjoy! If you haven't shot it, I would suggest shooting it and several others and then make your decision. If you get the Drenalin, I would suggest putting a Mathews Focus Grip or maybe a Shrewd grip like the one in the pic posted above. The grip on that bow was a bit big for my liking, but you may like the feel. Either way, if you get what feels good to you, you can't make a bad or wrong decision. If you like a newer bow better than the Drenalin you could always find one on here. Whatever you get, congrats on a new rig!!! Post up some pics when you get it set up...

Op, What's your draw length? I'm a 30" draw and the Drenalin was just not comfortable for me. I got a Dreanlin LD and was very happy with it.

Thanks everyone, and why I say brand new is because my father is the chapter manager for whitetails unlimited and in the merchandise package the Mathews drenalin is in there, so I can get it cheap, and again new, sounds like a great bow, my mind is made up!

I thought that stuff was intended for auction or raffle?

I have been shooting the LD for a few years now and love it, but this year it is a backup to my new MR7 I can shoot lighter weight, heavier arrows at the same speed, but I will put the monster up and grab the drenalin in a heartbeat if I even think there might be a problem I can drive tacks out to 60 yds with it.

it bothers me that mathews seems to think we all want lighter bows, so they shave weight off the limbs? not a good move in my opinion, i want super heavy duty limbs. id much rather have real limbs and real limb pockets, even if they make my bow weigh 1/4 lb more. i believe most people end up adding some weight to thier bows anyway to get them to hold steady....so why skimp on the limbs and pockets? but some people probably prefer the slim line limbs i guess. so its all about what YOU want in a bow.

It's called what sells---------if you it didn't work they wouldn't make it or make money. Same-thing with the speed game today-------people want speed so the companies try a provide it even though we don't actually need speed to be accurate but they do it.
As far as the limbs and limb pockets they work very well and hold up just as well as anything else out there today. It's just a matter of ascetics, and again weight-----what the public asks for.

well they have to change SOMETHING each year, they cant just keep selling last years model over and over. the light weight, thin limbs and cheap limb pockets its what made me not buy a drenalin, i went with a used switchback instead. i dont know where they get info on "what people want". i dont know anyone that wants a bow with an ATA shorter than thier draw length. its pretty obvious that wider limbs would be more flexable than thick narrow limbs.... which would stand up to flexing better a 4x4" piece of lumber or a 6x1" piece of lumber? they are trying to hard in my opinion. or running out of options on things to change is more like it.

LOL maybe you had better take a serious look at what is available on the market today across all bow lines. They are all making them similar in design and have had for a few years now-----IMHO they are getting better and better-----technology marches on. As far as where they get their information----public, what sells and what doesn't, it's their business to know. These designs are not over night things they are years of development.

I like mine, it will not be my favorite Mathews my beloved SBXT was, wish I had not sold that bow :-(

The Drenalin is a good bow, smooth drawing not blazing fast but it will kill foam or deer without any problem. Just make sure to get it tuned right by someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to tuning a Mathews not everyone knows how too tune a Mathews the right way (idle lean)
