If you want lightweight, comfortable, and is great for archery or gun hunting, I would give a serious look at Guido's Web. It is 10 lb or less, depending on what size your order. It is absolutely comfortable for all day sits. You can shoot almost all the way around the tree (and there are tricks to make it even easier). You wear it like a backpack, so it feels like 5 lbs. I just have pre-set ladders or use Lone Wolf climbing sticks or bolts in pre-drilled holes to get up the tree. Many people dismiss these type of stands (tree saddle, too), because you face the tree. Once I got used to it, I absolutely prefer it. I now feel naked it I have to sit with my back to the tree and nothing to conceal me from approaching deer.
I do realize that this type of stand is NOT preferred by the majority of hunters, and that's okay. I don't get my feelings hurt if someone likes to do something different than myself. I just thought you might appreciate a different perspective from someone who has tried just about every type of stand out there.
