I'm needing recommendations for lineman boots! YES, I KNOW, for the millionth time... I did just "google" it and found some sites with what seems like decent lineman boots recommendations, such as this one but the truth is... I don't quite trust these recommendations simply because I'd rather hear recommendations from real lineman workers who have tried a handful of different brands. So please guys, lemme know what boots you like the most. I've only been wearing used boots from pawn shops that I visited when working in eastern colorado and they're just complete trash. Very painful to wear after a long day's worth of work and I'm fed up with it.

If ur doing climbing every day hoffman driline are great not to bad for ground work. If ur doing more ground and bucket work danner quarry very comfortable thou I would use a cloth where the boot meets the gaff
I always prefer non insulated 8 to 10 in is fine for boot height. Quarrys have no breakin period hoffmans a couple of weeks

Ok so. This is my 21st year of line work. I am
The foreman on a major projects reconduction crew. So here is the question. How much time is spent on hooks or in the bucket or standing on the ground? What type of terrain do you work in. So if your climbing more go kenetrek or meindl eureka. You will be crippled with the Hoffman boots. If your in the bucket allot a simple pair of steel toe ariat slip on is good to go. I run a crew and I still run the bucket and climb and ground work. So. I have wore the meindl San Ramon for going on 7 years. Just bought my second pair 3 months ago. It is water proof, just high enough. Steel toe all leather single shank and a great vibrant sole. I would chose the San Ramon for one boot. Just go ahead and do yourself a favor buy a pair of muck chore st. For storm. Snow and hurricanes. They have a single shank. Just thank me later on the muck.
