My Cabelas I think has all those up one display, of course for twice the price the Millinum can hold a tank. the others looked pretty study, not so much the Big Games they had on display, not sure of the models though..

you would think that whoever company made the Field and Stream line could find someone to market them under a different name or with a different company, they da-bomb
I own several Field and Stream ladder stands and am happy with them for what I paid. I know Primal Vantage sells the F&S replacement parts and their stands look very similar to the Field and Stream.
I would not be surprised if Primal Vantage is the manufacturer for F&S. Primal has several stands on Sportsman Guide.

F&S discontinued the Outpost XL, but Primal has one almost identical.

One aspect of ladder stands to consider, especially doubles.....you're probably not moving them....with that in mind I suggest staying away from what has become the new rage with the slingback type seats. We purchased a few (maybe 6) when they first hit and man are they comfortable, you think your in a lounge chair up there....after the second year out we started noticing wear, enough so to create a safety concern. Between 25/7 exposure to the elements and critter appetites we ended up losing a couple of the seats...can they be replaced, SURE, but the price and process offered little advantage over simply getting a new one..so I'd keep that in mind....now if you're taking them down each season, like we do with our Millenium Hang-on's I say there isn't one more comfortable.

We have had very good luck with these in the 18' range with doubles...the price is not an indication of the quality...we have a few that are 4-5 years old and with a little TLC (paint, hardware, straps, etc..) are as good as the day they arrived.

This is another favorite....a little smaller than a double, plenty comfortable, sturdy and best of all LASTS...I had two in the same tree for almost 7 years...again just a little TLC in the offseason.

If you're a club member and take advantage of the sales and reduced shipping, these stands can't be beat...we've even gone so far as to have them shipped directly to camp when we know we'll be there, to cut down on our transporting them around.

Hope this helps a little...

Ladder stands are great and easy to get in and out of. I have the Hawk Sasquatch 1.5 man stand. Fold up seat and platform that goes all the way back to the tree. It's difficult to move and a little on the heavy side, but once you get it in position it is great. Also has a fold up shooting rail.

I hate two man ladder stands. They are heavy awkward and they stick out to much.

Don't over look using a single ladder stand with a hang on next to it. I have a few set up this way for the kids and I like it a lot more.
+1 The doubles can be nice but big, heavy, and a pain to move compared to a single. I use my hang ons next to the ladders and it works out very well. Would never go back to a straight double. Slap the millenium or my old favorite gorilla silverback next to a decent single ladder and life is good.

I own 3 different double ladder stands and have hunted out of every one you can imagine in my camp. My Millennium L220 is worth every penny I spent on it. I have hunted no telling how many hours out of it with my kids over the past 5 years.. It’s comfortable, safe with a big platform and easy to adjust the shooting rest as my kids are different heights. It’s very durable as it has sat in MS river swamps and has been flooded 3 times in the last five years. I just brought it out this weekend with two other stands. The other stands are going to have to be sanded and repainted. The millinnieum has very little rust. The only reason I took it down is b/c we lost our lease.

I hope you have your expectations low on this one, i've got one, but it is easily the WORST stand I own, tiny platform, uncomfortable, and pretty flimsy. I'll hunt it, but, I regret the purchase.
A friend of mine has a 100 acre farm with several different ladderstands.....one of which is this model. I have hunted from it a number of times and had no issues like that whiny reviewer.....especially since he was in someone else's stand that he didn't pay for or set up. For $90, I feel it is very adequate for the task at hand.....since we just closed on the property and I didn't want to test the waters with neighbors and locations with a $400 stand. I own a LW Assault II and sticks for run and gun, a Summit Viper SI as a climber and have a Millennium and Muddy fixed for more permanent setups....so I understand good stands. However a ladder is about longterm location where I might not hunt it a bunch, but it is functional when needed for a hunt or a friend. A buddy and I just put it together yesterday afternoon and I have no regrets.

Roadie when you places your lock ons beside the 1 man stands did you place them above the 1 man or beside them? If beside has it affected the shot that way any? And if above how hard is it to get into lock on? Thanks in advance!

This one: Big Game Guardian XLT

I just put one of these up, most difficult stand i have ever assembeled, I assembeld two other stands in the time it took to put that stand togeather. I had purchased it because of the extended height over most other two man set ups. I have a 13 year old grandson hunting with me this year. State law requires him to be in contact with adult until 14 years old. after reading the above comments i know why they were on sale for $99.

I have Big Dog Red Tick II and also a Blue Tick 1 Person Ladder Stand. I did not put the Shooting Rail on either as I only Bow Hunt from my Ladder Stands. I like the wide platform you stand on some Ladder Stands are wide and I prefer not to worry when I am getting into position having to watch where I need to stand.

The prices have gone up some since I got mine though and they had free S&H then also...

Hope you find the right one for You...

So I am bringing this back up.
Yesterday I bought the new Millennium L205 double ladder. Local store had them for $305 after taxes

I will be assembling and setting up tomorrow, I will try and post back my thoughts.

Good point about the mesh seats that are all the rage, don't like them. The Menard's Bog Dog Convex from Menards is nice because it still has a metal seat, foot platform curves around like the tree, and they can be bought for cheap on on sale for an even better price. You could get almost 3 of these for the price of the Millennium.

Sorry I tried rotating the pic but didn't work.

Big Game 16' (can't remember the model). I put the feet into empty soup cans to keep from sinking. I buy those $4 gardening cushions and zip tie three of them on the bench for better cushion. Works great for us.

Opened the box on the Millennium L205, little daunting task to construct.
Follow directions and it went together in about an hr. I put the top section together at home then completed the final ladder sections in the field.

I have not hunted it yet but I like what I see so far. I wish I would have a bigger tree to put it on, but that has nothing to do with the stand.

will check back after we make a hunt in it

Two years ago I put up 5 double millennium ladders on a 230 acre property and I have to say I’m very disappointed. I understand I’m likely in the minority but the stands are very loud and creaky. When I called Millennium after dropping nearly $2500 on stands and explaining that had not been my experience with their stands in the past. They said they would have someone call me and no one called. The stands still creak and we rarely hunt out of them. Anyone interested in buying some lightly used stands?
