Is 2015 Hoyt Carbon Spyder much of an upgrade from the 2014 one?

Hey all, I was looking for a new bow and decided upon Hoyt's Carbon Spyder series. I was wondering however, if the 2015 version is really worth the extra money compared to the 2014 one. From what I understand the 2015 model's most significant change is the new roller guard. I'd like to hear some input from you guys, and some advice. Thanks

I bought a 2014 34 inch carryover earlier this year. I was planning on buying a something closer to the nitrum but when I saw this at a significant discount and not much difference between the 2015 model it was an easy decision. The cams are different between the turbo models but the others all use the Z5. I found this site when I was making my decision. They claim the riser is different also.

I'm very happy with my bow.

I agree. I like the 2013 and 14 spyder and faktor turbo with z5

Z5 cams are much more manageable for most folks .

In my opinion the best bow in Hoyts 2015 hunting line up is the Nitrum 34 and the Carbon spyder 34 from the 2014 ...

Very , very nice bows to shoot and tune , other than the ZT roller , which I really like , not much difference at all

I owned a CS34 last year, now I'm shooting a Nitrum Turbo "and I've shot the 2015 CSZT line as well"....With the exception of the Turbo series "and the new Turbo cam" the ZT roller guard is the only difference on the Carbon bows for this year "the 30 & 34"... Now, the ZT roller guard is a cool little feature and it does do what they say it will do, reduce some torque in the cables....But with my 2014 CS34 I had last year I never had 1 tuning issue with it and the bow shot awesome for me. Now as far as which to buy, price is gonna play into this...If you can save a ton buying the 2014 and you don't care that the resell value is gonna be lower on it then go for it....If the price between the '14 & '15 is pretty close just buy the '15 cause if you decide to sell it within the next year the resell is gonna be better on it. As far as the overall performace & accuracy between a 2014 & 2015 CS 30 or 34, your not gonna see any difference there imho.
