Oh the drama from some on here. Most any archery business that's had their name dragged through the mud will come on here stating their side of the story. We see it all the time. In the end they either win over more customers or they don't.

I have no dog in this fight and I certainly do not wish Mitch any disrespect nor hardship, but it is clear the ones that will stick up for any bow shop without knowing all the facts. Everyone screws up every now and then.....everyone. Perhaps Mitch is a stand up fella but maybe something slipped through the cracks on this one?

Also, it is entirely possible that the OP's claim is not legit. If he is just trying to stir the pot then we would know who to believe and avoid in the future. But we will never know considering Mitch is not going to tell his side of the story.

Just saying.
Mitch doesn't have to get on here or anywhere else to tell his story. Likely he is taking the mature high road.

I've been down that road before, Mathews could care less as long as their bows sell.
That isn't entirely true....I'm sure they care.....and know of the situation. You guys would be surprised at how much a bow company pays attention to their name/ brand on here. I know a few that don't and it shows.

Well I've had a first hand witness hear a Mathews rep tell a dealer, "We don't care what you do as long as they keep selling"

Granted this is a rep, so I will say that it was not Mathews directly, but someone they believed in to market their product so take it for what it's worth. Not starting another AT argument, just what I know happened here.

It's s rep.....they say things that aren't truly mirror of Mathews mission statement.....sounds like a tongue in cheek thing. I'm in sales... my boss says things like that at times.....as long as I'm locking down sales.....but at the end if the day customer satisfaction is huge and the most important. I know what he means and can read it understand it through it all. I've had direct Convo with many companies.... believe me they know exactly what is being said on social media and elsewhere!

Well we know that the OP started an account on AT for one purpose only to bash the Dealer...he gave very little info and facts..his first post was to look back to 2010 to find a post about Mitch..the post he found had good things to say about Mitch but he needed to post before he could start a thread...the only post he ever made on AT were about Mitch..he has not been back since to answer the questions that were asked of him on this thread and I will bet he never comes back...besides that his post did not make alot of sense unless you are like alot of guys on here anti dealer...then you would want the dealer to start an account on here just so we have something else to read.

If the op had called Mathews to register the bow for warranty and they went ahead with the registration, then he knows its a new bow.If Mathews says we cant register that bow to you,its already registered to someone, then he knows its a used bow. But instead he runs off to another shop to get it fixed. Whole story smells bad.

bownazi, I plainly stated that it could be either party at fault on this. This is why it's to my belief it can be a good thing to find out the truth for all to see, esp if it's the OP dragging Mitch's name through the mud without cause. If that be the case it will come back to him some day..........Karma usually finds it's way.

I'm no investigator nor am I anti bow shop. But I will say that there are way more bad shops out there then good ones. We see it on a constant basis on here, as well as my own dealings for a lot of years.

But like I said, everyone makes a mistake every once in a while. Whether it's something that slipped through the cracks or not. Could be an employee mistake, could be several things. But mistakes happen just the same.

Considering either party is willing to step up to the plate, it would most likely be best if this thread were to just go away because it serves no useful purpose.

This is all true and that is why I checked out the dealers reputation with someone in the know that I trust and has never lied to me... before I posted my opinion

STOP!!! Please read this before you do any business with Mitch''s Archery! THIS SHOP IS RUNNING A SCAM!!!

With archery season coming back up i only feel that it is fair to warn anyone in the market for a bow about this shop. I purchased a "New" Matthews bow from Mitch's archery a few months back and my second time having this bow out still sighting it in the bow exploded on me which I later found out was due to an existing crack in the lower limb of this bow. When i contacted Matthews and Mitch's about this issue to get a warranty repair completed I was informed this bow i purchased was in fact not a new bow but a previously owned model which had been registered for warranty by a friend of theres therefore voiding the lifetime warranty on my 2 week old bow that cost me nearly $900!!! As you can imagine this put me in quite a bind when i ask about simply purchasing the new limbs they insisted they would not help me out and eventually quoted me $450 for parts and labor. At which time i took my business elsewhere to a shop in Douglasville which treated me extremely fairly no skin in the game and they did the work same day parts and labor for $90 less than a quarter of the cost the shop that RIPPED ME OFF wanted to charge me!

So again fair warning to anyone in the market don't fall victim to the Scam artist at Mitch's Archery after talking around i have learned i am not the first to have this exact same thing happen when dealing with this shop, wish i would have done my research before wasting over $1,000 on this whole ordeal. I just hope this review saves some of you the headache and costly mistake that i made.
I have done business with Mitch for 12 years. I have bought several bows from Mitch. I can be pretty picky and I have always received great service and found Mitch to be very honest. I would also say there is no reason for Mitch to come on here and give his side of the story. I don't know the person writing this article but I know Mitch and his reputation speaks for itself.

One more thing. I dry fired my bow and Mitch sent it to Matthews. They replace everything that was damaged for free. I paid for the labor. Mitch told me first Matthews covers this and I cover it if it happens again. I could not believe they covered my mistake

I wasn’t around then, but ran across it. I’m not sure if I am more shocked at the original post, or that AT would allow something like this to float around and for so long. Especially considering it’s content and nature directed at someone’s business - and directly referring to them as a Scam, while publicly accusing them of malpractice.

However it’s clear it had no bearing (fortunately) on the man’s business as it appears he’s still running strong.
